Chapter 7

------------------
You felt as if the whole world was against you as you walked through the mocking hallways of Peach Creek High. Willing tears not to spill as you heard sniggers coming from every direction. Your (E/C) eyes sparkled as hot, bitter tears stung them. Idiots, the lot of them.
Hugging your books closer to your chest, you looked at the small slip of paper given to you by the principal. It being your first day at school, you needed to be familiar with your classes, locker combination, etc.
You gripped the paper between your teeth, the books held under your left arm, you struggled to jam the locker door open. 'Damned lock...'
As you were about to give up, you heard footsteps approaching from behind you. An arm reached over your shoulder, opening the latch with ease. You furrowed your brow. '...There's gotta be a trick or something.' Deciding to figure that out later, you spun around only to find the person you really didn't want to see.
Eddward stood before you shyly, his arms tucked subtly behind his back, clad in a sweater and his usual shorts-knee socks combo. You wiped the slightly shocked expression off your face, replacing it with a scowl.
"Oh," You turned back to your now open storage locker, stuffing the books into it, purposely avoiding his gaze. "What do you want?"
You insisted with a particularly crabby tone of voice.
"I-I just wanted to...-"
"Y'know what, nevermind. I don't want to hear it," You slammed the locker door, making him jump a bit and cut him off. "Just leave me alone, okay? I need to get to class."
Spinning on your heels, and flipping your hair for effect, you dashed off down the hall. Trying as hard as you could not to look back.
"...Talk..."
He stared after you, deciding to ignore the fact that class didn't start for at least fifteen minutes.
~
Time seemed to roll by at a snail's pace as you stared blankly into the woodgrain of your desk. Absentmindedly rolling your pencil around with your fingers. You propped your head up with your other hand, frowning at the blank notebook in front of you. Hopefully they weren't studying anything important today, as you probably wouldn't join them back on Earth for a while now.
You dared not look up, as you were certain several pairs of eyes were currently glued to your figure. Studying you like you were their prey, just waiting to strike the moment you showed any sign of weakness. You were sure of it. Paranoid, maybe, but you were determined to eventually burn a hole in your textbook, never taking your eyes off of it.
Unbeknownst to you, someone else was busy staring as well, though not with hatred or malice. More like confusion, and longing. All mixed in with just a hint of frustration. He watched intently as your pencil aimlessly rolled off of your desk, observing as you didn't even flinch. His expression changed to a look of worry as he waited for a sign of life, but none shown.
It's funny. He can study a textbook, but people... He was never really sure.
The startling sound of tapping against a blackboard yanked him from his thoughts, leaving him unaware of exactly how long he'd been distracted.
"Mr. Marion," His gaze snapped back towards the front of the room, the instructor glaring back impatiently. "Would you care to join us?"
"Er..." His face grew hot at the realization that he'd been staring, and at the mention of his middle name. Feeling all eyes on him, he heard suppressed sniggers and girlish giggles from his peers. He looked back to you, only to find an empty seat in your place.
"Y-Yes, sir."

A/N: Uuum Hi! This is my first fanfiction, and my first X Reader at that. I read this continuation by LoveMySockhead12 and after seeing she was getting a little tired updating, I decided to take the stress off her hands and update it myself! I hope I can do her work justice, please tell me what you think! Also I will link the previous chapters written by LoveMySockhead12 in the description. Please Enjoy!

Okay... Here goes nothing
~~ The eds watched for months as the construction crew built another home, it had peaked their interest for many weeks as the new family had been coming to check progress. A father and a girl... No mother
They did however have many pets with them as they moved into the house. The girl always looked so nervous and never answered when the children would yell for her to come play. She would be caught in her back yard playing a guitar and quickly writing on a sheet of paper occasionally. One day the eds saw her sitting on her front steps as her dogs sniffed around the yard and explored everything.

Wow, I'm ashamed that this is all I have to offer over the time it took to get this out.
I'm really sorry, I've been majorly busy.
I just hope I haven't lost any of your interest. After all, you guys are the most important part of the story.
I quite like this chapter, despite its length. Once I actually snagged some free time, I was on fire! But when I reached this point I thought it was a good place to stop, even though I would've liked to continue..
Oh well, I hope it pleases all of you. And let me assure you, I'm not dead.
Even though it probably seemed like it.
